Q. Who is covered?
A. You only, or if the Joint option is selected, you and your spouse or domestic partner are covered. For the purpose of this plan, Domestic Partner is defined as:
1) is at least 18 years of age and competent to enter into a contract;
2) is not related to the Primary Insured Person by blood;
3) has exclusively lived with the Primary Insured Person for at least twelve (12) months prior to the date of enrollment;
4) is not legally married or separated; and
5) as of the date of enrollment, has with the Primary Insured Person at least two (2) of the following financial arrangements:
a) a joint mortgage or lease;
b) a joint bank account;
c) joint title to or ownership of a motor vehicle or status as a joint lessee on a motor vehicle lease; or
d) a joint credit card account with a financial institution.
Neither the Primary Insured Person nor the Domestic Partner can be married to, nor be in a civil union with anyone else.
Q. Will this plan cover me for an injury in a foreign country?
A. Yes. Coverage applies worldwide.
Q. What is the earliest I can have my membership become effective?
A. The earliest effective date you can get is the 1st of next month.
Q. How do I file a claim?
A. Claims are simple. Call the toll free number listed in your membership kit. The claims staff will take your information, create a file for you and get a claim form out to you in the mail.
Q. I already have DI. I am covered by Worker's Comp and my employer has a Salary Continutaion Plan. How does WBA deal with that?
A. This plan pays out regardless to any other income replacement plan you have.
Q. Do I have to prove what my income is when I apply? Or when I file a claim?
A. It depends on which plan you choose. If you choose a $250 or $500 per week fixed benefit we will not ask for any type of income verification. For the up to $750 and up to $1000 benefits you will be asked for income verification at the time of claim.
Q. Is there a time limit for claims?
A. Yes. You must file your initial claim with the WBA carrier within 60 days of the accidental injury, or as soon thereafter as is reasonably possible.
Q. Who gets the money?
A. ATTD claim payments will be made directly to you.
Accidental Death benefits are paid to the beneficiary selected. If no beneficiary has been selected, the benefit will be paid to the first surviving party in the following order: a) the Insured Person's spouse or domestic partner; b) in equal shares to the Insured Person's children; c) in equal shares to the Insured Person's parents; d) in equal shares to the Insured Person's brothers and sisters; e) the Insured Person's estate. All other benefits will be paid to the Insured Person or the Insured Person's designee, or unless otherwise noted.
Q. Exactly how much will I be paid
A. It depends on which plan you choose. Please see the examples below.
The $250 or $500 per week benefit is a flat amount with no dependency on income level (see below).
Income is $20,000 – Benefit is $250 or $500 per week
Income is $26,000 – Benefit is $250 or $500 per week
Income is $30,000 – Benefit is $250 or $500 per week
The up to $750 and up to $1000 per week benefit is based on the lesser of the chosen benefit or 60% your gross earned income at the time of injury and may be paid at less than the chosen maximum benefit figure (see below).
Using $1000 Benefit Program
Income is $70,000 – Benefit is 60% of income = $807.69 per week
Income is $86,666 – Benefit is 60% of income = $1000.00 per week
Income is $95,000 – Benefit is capped at $1000.00 per week
Q. What is the WBA?

Association members receive a personalized benefits package containing the insurance certificate, instructions, toll-free numbers, and web site addresses. WBA supplies benefits to our members at the lowest possible prices, and continuously seeks additional high-quality service plans to further enhance the overall value each membership provides.
These affordable plans provide a substantial package of money saving services and baseline benefits. They are not intended as a replacement or substitute for health insurance, but can dramatically reduce your expenditures.
We try to avoid fine print and twisted legal terminology. The few items you will find here are direct and easy to understand.
All benefits are subject to revision or change. WBA works with numerous outside vendors who may occasionally make changes to the services offered to members. Any benefit changes will be communicated to existing members as rapidly as possible. WBA will continue to seek better and more effective benefits and services for the membership at the best possible prices. Any new benefits will be made available to all existing members.
Banking and credit cards
WBA currently has contracted with the Comprehensive Insurance Agency, LLC to handle the sales and billing of membership services. That name may appear on your bank or credit card statement if you use any of our automated debit methods to pay your dues.
WBA offers you a 30 day money back guarantee. If for any reason you decide to cancel your membership within the first 30 days after enrollment or effective date (whichever is later), we will refund your dues, no questions asked.
After the initial guarantee period has passed, refunds will be based on the following 1st day of the month 30 days AFTER your written request to cancel your membership. Cancellation requests must be in writing or via email. The member will be refunded the unused portion, if any, of dues paid in advance.
Please be aware that WBA incurs non-recoverable expenses each time your credit card or bank account is debited or credited. Member dues for the coming month will not be refunded if the electronic transfer has already taken place.
Wholesale Benefits Association, Comprehensive Insurance Agency, LLC and any of their subsidiaries or sub-contractors will not release, sell, trade or give any information regarding our customers to any third party. The information that you provide will only be used to process your enrollment and in communicating with you in the future. We will, at times, send you updates, via e-mail and other means, regarding product changes, new benefits and services, as well as new products and special offers.
